Very unwelcoming store. Produce is poor. Store in need of a complete make over.
I feel compelled to address the comments about not enough people on registers in the store. Between my husband and I, we are at Manahawkin Acme on a nearly daily basis all year long , at all times of the day. As soon as the lines get to more than 2 people another person is called to man the register.
In addition, there is always someone to assist if you need help. The produce, meat, and deli departments are outstanding . The interior of the building is clean and well-maintained, the staff friendly and efficient. We always save 15-30% through their excellent sales.
As 40 year residents and frequent shoppers, this our go - to grocery store.
They also have no bathroom
Quick service, wonderful salad and hot foods bar, and great produce. Not overpriced, and even contains a discount bakery section. I highly recommend this supermarket over ShopRite or any of it's other competitors.
