New to the area and decided to try Stafford Vet after seeing a lot of positive reviews. Mistake. After scheduling an appointment a few weeks out, I got a call two days before the appointment telling me the vet was not going to be in that day. Decided to keep the appointment and just see another vet. Arrived for the appointment and after fifteen minutes of waiting I watched as a vet tech came out and scolded the receptionist for double booking the vet. She left and the receptionist asked if the appointment was canceled and said it was marked so in the system. I explained I kept the appointment and was ok with seeing another vet. Receptionist advised the vet would still see me and his current appointment would be quick. For the next thirty minutes I waited as the receptionists debated whose fault it was for the double booking. No apology offered. Well no apology until I was walking out the door after 45 minutes of waiting to see the vet. The staff was unprofessional and I will not be rescheduling or recommending this vet.
Dr. Gary Van Den Broek is absolutely horrible, its a disgrace to even put the word doctor in front of his name. I saw him twice and each time I left in tears. His idea of helping is to simply repeat exactly what your animals symptoms are, then tell you your animal is basically dying and then doing nothing to help the animal!! I wouldn't trust him with a pet rock.
Very happy to have them as my pet provider for over 16 years. Would highly recommend. Compassionate and knowledgeable.
UPDATE: The manager reached out and offered her apologies, another appointment and that they spoke to everyone involved to ensure the experience would not happen again. I have already found another vet but appreciate the response.
I am from Chicago and on vacation. My 18 month old puppy needed medical care. From beginning to end they were wonderful. Made me feel at ease, Dr. Schnolis was so incredibly kind and compassionate. I left feeling very confident about his diagnosis and care. Puppy is now doing great. Thank you.
Love them there. I've been going to Stafford vet for years. They have always took great care of us. Would have given 5 stars but they are more expensive then any other vet around
