Stayed here for a wedding... wasn't expecting 5 star service at a Holiday Inn. There is a putting green, basketball court, beer garden, fire pits, and a delicious restaurant. Charlie at the front desk was awesome!! He guided us to LBI and to a local Lighthouse that was open to the public to climb. Can't speak highly enough about Charlie, he's truly genuine and sincere. He wasn't your typical front desk welcome with a fake smile and cheesy greeting. The location is perfect and super convenient to everything. Overall, easy 5 stars and will definitely stay again.
Stopped in for drinks on a Friday night in the summer. The outdoor area is a great spot to hang out and relax with friends for drinks & food. Prices were a little high for the area - a double gin and soda along with a pint of Blue Moon was $22. Unfortunately there was a storm rolling in, which meant most of the outside staff was prepping to close the bar and everyone had to go inside for drinks. There was only one person tending bar inside so between everyone there who dropped by and hotel guests in town for a wedding, it took a while to get served. There was also live music outside, but it seemed to be a little bit of an afterthought as there was canned music playing outside as well, and the placement of the live sound setup didn't reach the entire outside area. Nothing that can't be addressed. All in all the Mainland is a solid and unique place to grab some food and drinks. The quality of the food and overall ambience are very good, the live music setup has a few kinks to work out, and the service gets a pass because they were dealing with a storm. Looking forward to going back again soon.
A little expensive, but close to LBI and shopping. The separately owned restaurant/bar/cafe has been redone with good food and an outside seating/bar too. Nice small marketplace for a quick snack or buying a toiletry you forgot to bring with you. The hotel itself and rooms could use a facelift. Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping a bit slow and it wasn't the busy season...maybe understaffed?
The suite was very roomy and the hotel was very clean. The staff is very friendly and hospitality was very fast with requests. I wish they had some sort of free breakfast for guests though since the room rate is pretty pricey. They also advertise has a great place to host your wedding guests but don't provide any type of shuttle service.
I really enjoy coming here. During the summer they have an outdoor bar with live music, plants and flowers everywhere, games on some of the tables, and pretty good bar food. Yesterday we were inside because the outdoor area is closed due to the season. Their lunch menu is sandwiches and appetizers. I had a flounder sandwich that was very tasty. My friend had grilled cheese, that looked really good, not your typical greasy looking smashed sandwich. The service was great. I'll be back!
