Best retro fitness
Ok but one of the dirtier Retros Ive been to. Good atmosphere but never caught a staff member cleaning. Locker room is tiny and run down.
All the equipment is very old and either broken or ghetto. It is also very dirty. Other retro gyms I see the staff constantly cleaning the equipment and floor, here I have never seen anyone clean. The free weight area is very cluttered. Although they recently took down the cardio theater for more space, it's still disgraceful for a retro. I commute longer to go to Tuckerton or Forked River locations.
This place is a neighborhood gym. If your the kind of person that scrubs down the equipment with sanitizer before every use, it's not for you. Most people are pretty experienced which maybe intimidating for some people, but I appreciate it. Nothing fancy but it has everything you need. They recently updated some if the equipment and the staff is friendly.
Weekend hours are a joke. Closing at 7pm on a saturday? I wont even mention Sunday, I wanted to strangle them. Guest passes are a joke and equipment is still dated. Worst Retro in Ocean County.
